(1930, Columbia) Buck Jones, Miriam Seegar, Charles Morton, Erville Alderson, Charlie King. There’s great resentment in town on the part of the local cattlemen. Their herds are running out of water while the sheepherders, down in the valley, have all water they need. Buck, as town sheriff, tries to keep the two sides at bay. But when the brother of his fiancé shoots a sheepherder in the back, Buck is faced with choosing between loyalty to the law, or loyalty to the girl he loves. Lots of great riding scenes and six-guns blazing. A pretty good early Jones talkie. From 16mm.
