(1970) Alex Sanders, Maxine Sanders, Guy Standeven. A docu-drama all about witchcraft in Great Britain. Much of the film centers around real-life witch Alex Sanders (dubbed in the UK as the "King of the Witches") and his wife Maxine, both of whom star in the film. You’ll witness footage of Sanders' coven performing rituals. There’s a disturbing initiation scene where a naked, blindfolded initiate is guided through rugged terrain. Also seen are demonstrations of a "death spell" and the performance of a Black Mass. And if that isn’t enough, you’ll be taken on an eerie tour of the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Boscastle, Cornwall, showcasing various occult artifacts and tools. Be advised, this movie has a ton of full nudity—both female and male. The narrator is not listed in the credits or other release info but it sound a bit like longtime British actor Valentine Dyall—but there’s no way to know for sure. From 35mm.
