This slick late ‘50s version strayed a bit from the original Rinehart story, but how can you go wrong when you’ve got horror icon Price on board. 4. THE BAT (1960) Helen Hayes, Jason Robards, Margaret Hamilton. This was the made-for-TV movie version that featured a sparkling performance by Helen Hayes.
