(1930) Buck Jones, Marguerite De La Motte, Kate Price, Albert J. Smith, Robert McKenzie, Frank Rice, Ben Corbett.. Jones and Rice are a couple of hard-working cowpunchers who end up getting fired from their jobs. Rice then heads off to a place called “Shadow Ranch.” Buck turns up later but discovers that his pal has been murdered—shot in the back. He then sets out to bring the killer to justice in this gritty, raw early B-western that, along with The Lone Rider, helped cement Jones perfect transition from silent to sound pictures. Cool. From 16mm.
