(1959) Pavel Makhotin, Vladimir Emelyanov, Georgiy Shamshurin, Anatoliy Shamshurin. A young man stumbles onto a secret cache of video tapes showing an unknown cosmonaut in space flight. Years later, and now a young scientist, a huge surprise awaits him when the tapes are reexamined. He eventually finds himself the participant in a space flight around the sun, which is part of an effort to crack the secrets of seemingly impassable zones around the sun. Lots of hard science and space opera thrills in this engaging Russian sci-fi thriller.
