Garin is a mad inventor who creates a death ray of fantastic power. He is bound and determined to conquer the Earth, committing many atrocities with no regard for the effect they might have on mankind. However, he is bewitched by a femme fatale who helps speed him along on his course to self-destruction. The scenes of death ray carnage are astonishing. Watch as Garin blows a fleet of battleships out of the water. The film has beautiful B&W cinematography—the use of light and shadow is superb! A great, off-beat music score. For all students of Santo and Neutron movies, here's something you don't want to miss: a European, superhero, masked wrestler. Our hero is pitted against a madman and his army of zombie-like robots. This film was likely inspired by the Batman TV series of the same time period. Unusual to see Madison as the bad guy. Good, mindless fun. Color, from 35mm.
