(1953) Eddie Constantine, Dominique Wilms, Howard Vernon, Dario Moreno, Maurice Ronet. Eddie plays tough-guy undercover agent Lemmy Caution, who ends up in exotic Casablanca attempting to track down two million in missing loot. He soon finds his life threatened by everything from gold smugglers to shark-infested waters. He also has to deal with a mob boss mistress (portrayed by the breathtaking Dominique Wilms) who plays both sides of the law. Lots of cool action and intrigue. Historic film in which Eddie played his definitive onscreen persona, Lemmy Caution, for the first time, which made him a major star in France. Upgraded from a nice 35mm print.
