(1966, Anamorphic Widescreen) Kevin Scott, Jennifer Laird, Alan Wylie, Barbara Ward, John Burke. Laird plays a delivery girl who stops by a sleaze-photographer’s office in the middle of one of his nudie sessions. The photographer is brilliantly played by no-name actor Kevin Scott, whose performance makes you cringe at its seemingly authentic nature. He’s a really emotional loose cannon. Yet, the two of them fall in love. Everything seems fine. But then, Laird discovers she’s heir to millions of dollars. At this point Scott starts to go off the rails and ends up turning into a wide-eyed maniac. This is one of those mid-60s gritty, sleazy exploitation goodies that—while not perfect—rises far above its budgetary limitations. There are many intense, powerful moments. Wow… Great performances from what is essentially a cast of unknowns. This would have undoubtedly been rated R for nudity and violence. From 35mm.
