(1964, Anamorphic Widescreen) Sean Flynn, Marie Versini, Alessandra Panaro, Mimmo Palmara, directed by Umberto Lenzi. A group of religious fanatics, the Sikkim rebels, capture a Brit officer and a Viceroy’s daughter. Another Brit officer, played by Flynn, undertakes a daring plan to rescue the two captives. Through trickery he makes his way into the jungle to seek out the mysterious “Temple of the White Elephant,” which is the epi-center of Sikkim activity. Lots of steamy jungle shots, exotic locales, and daring-do action. Flynn would disappear in the Cambodian jungles a few years later. Nice Color, from 35mm.
