(1972, Anamorphic Widescreen) Fred Williams, Jack Taylor, Ewa Strömberg, Roberto Camardiel, Siegfried Lowitz, directed by Jesús Franco. Dr. Mabuse is on the loose again, this time abducting beautiful women in order to subject them to a powerful mind control ray. His goal is to create an army of robots. He’s assisted by his hideous assistant, who’s kind of a cross between Frankenstein and Morpho from The Awful Dr. Orlof. Williams plays the determined inspector who tries to sort it all out. Obviously inspired by Franco’s earlier Orlof films. Look for Franco in a cameo role. Nice color, from 35mm.
