(1937) Edmund Lowe, Ann Todd, Sebastian Shaw, Robert Newton, Tamara Desni, Alastair Sim. In London, safes are being knocked over by underlings of an unknown criminal mastermind—businesses, mansions…they’re not too particular about whom they rob. Lowe plays a down-and-out former inspector (too much booze) who’s brought in to go undercover and solve the crimes. Sim is great as an oddball reporter.
