(1944) Robert Lowery, Phyllis Brooks, Jack LaRue, Charles Arnt. Lowery is in Central America when he gets word that he’s inherited 200K from his late grandfather. He hops aboard a ship to head back to the states, but it turns out to be filled with danger and dangerous people, including those who wish to defraud him of his inheritance. Before long an “accident” almost takes his life. Who can he trust? Brooks is good as a mysterious dame. Foggy film noir. From 16mm.
