(1972, Anamorphic Widescreen) James Best, Barbara Burgess, Gil Peterson, Gerald McRaney. At a secret government research facility, some weird experiments are happening. But, unknown to the scientists, there’s a plot afoot to manipulate these experiments to benefit criminal political elements for various nefarious purposes, which threaten the safety of the USA. James (The Killer Shrews) Best gives a good performance. Look, this is no classic, but it’s a cool drive-in movie. Pop some corn, grab some soda, maybe a hot dog or two and enjoy it for what it is—80 minutes-plus of All-American schlock. Nice color, from 35mm.
