(1965) Richard O'Callaghan, Justine Lord, Eric Lander, Peter Copley. In this brilliant British made-for TV feature, a young man called 'Boy' (no relation to Tarzan) is born with no fingernails. He’s gifted with a brain that eventually enables him to exert mind control over others. Things get complicated when he falls for a pretty actress, whose agent encourages the relationship because he thinks he can exploit the boy on TV. Adding to the plot is a mysterious surveillance team that’s hunting for the boy, (who are those guys?). Short and sweet (about 51 min.) this moody piece really delivers. Watch for the bathtub sequence (wow!). Similar in many ways to Star Trek’s Charlie X, which followed a year later. From Kinescope.
