(1965, Anamorphic Widescreen) Franco Franchi, Ciccio Ingrassia, Mónica Randall. Franco and Ciccio (the Martin and Lewis of Italy) are actually pretty funny. They have a certain shtick that works. The boys are sent into space to imitate a pair of lost Soviet spacemen. They fly near the moon and at one point jump into space (hanging from wires) in a vein suicide attempt. One of the high points is when they discover the remains of the first doggie cosmonaut, its little doggie skull still inside its doggie space helmet. Franco’s hat winking is a scream! Not bad.
