THE HEADLESS EYES (1971) Bo Brundin, Ramon Gordon, Kelly Swartz, Mary Jane Early. A true drive-in classic. A down-on-his luck artist gets more than he bargained for in a failed robbery attempt—an eye gouged out with a spoon! With his eye hanging out and dangling by the nerve, he stumbles out, screaming in the night! He then goes nuts and turns to killing women and cutting their eyes out. Not exactly high art, but good, schlocky drive-in fun. Nice color, from 16mm.
THE GHASTLY ONES (1968) Veronica Radburn, Maggie Rogers, Hal Borske, directed by Andy Milligan. Three couples end up spending the night in a creepy Victorian-style house in order to claim their inheritance. Sounds easy enough, but before long, they start dying horribly at the hand of a knife-and-pitchfork-wielding psycho who wants their inheritance. Hilariously gruesome! Watch for the live-rabbit eating scene. Color, 35mm
