RHYTHM OF THE RIO GRANDE (1940, Monogram) Tex Ritter, Suzan Dale, Warner Richmond. Seeking revenge on the killer of his pal, Tex rides to Cinco Valley. He is appalled to find the valley’s settlers being subjected to a campaign of theft and terror by a Mexican thug. Great action and songs make this worthwhile. Richmond always makes a great bad guy. Tex and Slim aid a group of settlers as they make their way westward, fighting everything from outlaws to Indians. Look for stock footage from the serial, Fighting With Kit Carson. Tex sings up a storm. McKay is as cute as a bug. 16mm.
