COME ON COWBOYS (1937, Republic) Ray Corrigan, Bob Livingston, Max Terhune, Maxine Doyle, Horace Murphy, Ed Piel, Roger Williams. A fine entry into the Three Mesquiteers series. When an old pal from the circus gets mixed up with thieves, Ray and the boys come to the rescue. This is a great little film with all the usual Republic B western action that you come to expect. There are also some nice circus thrills thrown in for good measure. Simply marvelous—wow! 16mm.
GUNSMOKE RANCH (1937, Republic) Bob Livingston, Ray “Crash” Corrigan, Max Terhune, Julia Thayer. After floods destroy many homes and families, a shady land syndicate plans to pull a land scam over on the 3 Mesquiteers and many of the refugees. Their nefarious scheme involves selling the land the flood victims have settled on for a huge profit. Bob, Crash, and Max won’t sit still for this. 16mm.
HEART OF THE ROCKIES (1937, 35mm) Robert Livingston, Ray Corrigan, Max Terhune, Lynn Roberts. Someone’s regularly stealing cattle from the 3 Mesquiteers. Suspicion falls on a mountain clan (known for their marital in-breeding) that tries to convince the boys the culprits are wild bears! Things get out of hand and murder follows. Republic made the best B westerns...here’s another.
TRIGGER TRIO (1937, Republic) Ray Corrigan, Robert Byrd, Max Terhune, Sandra Corday. A remarkable dog helps the 3 Mesquiteers track down a killer and his gang who are helping spread hoof and mouth disease throughout the area.
