(1973) Erika Blanc, Anton Diffring, Percy Hoven, Reggie Nalder, Lukas Ammann. A tribunal targets “witches” and “heretics,” who are then tortured and murdered. Blanc gives a bravura performance as a noblewoman who opposes the nefarious witch-hunting ways of Nalder. She’s soon accused of being a witch herself, and finds herself falling into Nalder’s noose.
