LAKE OF THE ZOMBIES (1981) Howard Vernon, Antonio Mayans, Anouchka, Pierre-Marie Edcourrou. This bizarre Euro-horror chiller takes place In a tiny French village. The local citizens are horrified when the bodies of German soldiers, killed by the Resistance during World War II, become zombified and come back from the dead. Obviously they’re in a very sour mood. This is a pretty awful movie all things considered, perhaps one of the worst zombie movies ever made. Lovably bad, though. There’s quite a bit of full nudity and some of the violence is pretty grim. This is a movie that gets better after a few beers.. Keep it away from the kiddies, though. Great color, widescreen, from 35mm.
