An Intricate plot has Tim grappling with various low-lifes, including the “Pecos Kid,” who’s soon caught and hanged! (but did he really commit the murder?) Watch out for the doom foretelling “death cards.” Included in the Forgotten Horrors book. From 16mm.
OUTLAWS’ PARADISE (1939, Victory) Tim McCoy, Joan Barclay, Ben Corbett, Ted Adams. Tim has a nice dual role as a federal man who has a strong likeness to a killer being released from prison. The Feds detain the killer (also played by Tim) and send in their own agent to infiltrate the gang. 16mm.
RIDERS OF BLACK MOUNTAIN (1940) Tim McCoy, Pauline Haddon, Ed Peil, Frank LaRue, Rex Lease. Bandits hold up Tim’s stage. He pursues and finds them opening the strongbox. When the sheriff arrives, Tim gets blamed; but even after he clears himself, the sheriff keeps a watchful eye, still thinking he is part of the gang. Tim struggles between finding the bandits and fending off the sheriff. 16mm.
