(1937, Universal) Warren William, Gail Patrick, Constance Moore, Ralph Morgan, William Lundigan. A slick Universal crime film about an overly tough DA (played marvelously by William) who stops at nothing to get a conviction on an accused murderer who has killed his unfaithful wife. Then, in a cruel turn of events, he finds out his wife is also fooling around! He is then tempted to commit the same crime. Will he pull the trigger? This is an interesting look into the mind of a criminal prosecutor as well as a well-played crime drama. From 16mm.
