HOLD ‘ER SHERIFF (1931) James Murray, Marjorie Beebe, Marion Sayers. A Sheriffs daughter falls for a guy who might be a thief. Murray, a huge silent star, literally drank himself out of show business, committing suicide five years later. Sayers, his real life wife, went on to marry Chicago Cubs’ Charlie Grimm. 3. WESTERN WELCOME (1938) Ray Whitley, Diana Gibson. Ray and the boys fix up a welcome for the new ranch owner, not knowing she’s a girl! Many great songs. 16mm.
