(1932, Allied) Hoot Gibson, Doris Hill, Hooper Atchley, Al Bridge, Lafe McKee. Hoot’s brother’s ranch has been taken over by ruthless thugs! Hoot comes back to town, parading as a bumbling dude, and manages to get hired on as the gang’s cook! Under this facade, he sets out to make things right and put the crooks in jail. Hoot, as usual, does a fine job adding his western humor to this very likable Allied production. From 16mm.
