Westerns GAY RANCHERO, THE*

(1948, Republic) Roy Rogers, Tito Guizar, Jane Frazee, Andy Divine, Dennis Moore. Our 3/4" video master was taken dirctly from the most complete color print known to exist. Roy and his saddle buddy are out to stop a gang of airplane saboteurs who are out to gain control of an airport south of the border. The action is strong and even a bit bloody at times, or maybe it's just more noticeable in Tru-color (watch out for the surprising scene where Roy gets the you-know-what kicked out of him). At any rate, another slick Rogers actioneer that's worth watching.
