(1962) Cornell Wilde, Belinda Lee, Massimo Serato, Christine Kaufmann. At last! A good color edition of this movie! Wilde does a great job in his portrayal of one of the most pivotal figures in ancient history. Supporting characters also excel. They take a few historical liberties with the script, but overall this is a most enjoyable epic thriller. The battle scenes are really pretty well staged. Everything else on the market for this title seems to have faded color. However, we recently discovered a nice color-corrected ¾” video master made directly from a 16mm original print, hidden in our library—cool.
