(1967) Cameron Mitchell, Elisa Montes, George Martin, Kay Fischer. Mitchell is the evil Baron von Weser, who has a grim collection of carnivorous plants. When a group of people vacation on his island, they soon they find themselves having to deal with his monstrosities. Watch out for his blood-drinking tree, which soon becomes acquainted with several unfortunate guests. This is a fast-moving piece of Euro-schlock. Mitchell is great as he underplays his evil role. This film has had some awful video releases in the past, but this is probably the best video copy on the market. Aka Man-eater of Hydra. Widescreen, Beautiful color, 35mm.
