(1957, Upgraded 4/29/24) Ryuji Shinagawa, Shozo Southern, Junko Kano, Tsurumi Joji. What a cool B&W movie! A series of ghastly murders is being committed. The one similarity in each of the murders is that a weird buzzing sound is always heard right before the murder occurs. The murderer is actually a man who can shrink himself down to the size of a fly, then regain his full size right before he polishes off his victims. The shrinking formula is actually a secret weapon developed by the military during WWII that was stolen by a taken by a crazed war criminal However, a physicist has invented an invisibility ray and decides to become invisible and stop the murdering monster. Movies like this are what drive-in movie theaters were invented for. Great schlocky fun! In Japanese with English subtitles. From 35mm.
