Mystery DIAGNOSIS: MURDER

(1975) Christopher Lee, Judy Geeson, Jon Finch, Tony Beckley. This is a decidedly underrated murder mystery. The film opens with a woman being seemingly gunned down by an unknown assassin. Lee, who is terrific as a moody, sinister psychologist, becomes the prime suspect after his wife disappears. Geeson (To Sir with Love) and the rest of the cast shine, too, in this well-made British thriller that’s fraught with plot twists and intrigue. A real surprise. Looks like it might have originally been made for TV. Color, from 16mm.
