(1929) Ricardo Cortez, Nancy Welford, Henry B. Walthall. A woman frames her husband, an inventor, for the murder she committed. Years later after being paroled, the inventor returns from prison as a “family friend” hoping to get to know his daughter, who does not know who he is. Before long though, there is another murder! Early talkie is a little creaky, but still an interesting piece of early cinema. 16mm.
