(1939, 20th Century Fox, Upgraded 4/9/21) The Ritz Brothers, Lionel Atwill, Bela Lugosi, Anita Louise, Patsy Kelly, Edward Norris. A good horror comedy with the Ritz Brothers after a mad killer known as "the gorilla," who has been terrorizing the inhabitants of an old dark house. The Ritz Brothers shine. Atwill is good in his part, but Lugosi is a bit wasted in the small role of a butler, although his performance is good. The scene where Harry Ritz confronts a live gorilla is a classic moment. A great little old dark house comedy. Transferred from a gorgeous 16mm original print.
