(1967) Jose Marins, Tina Wohlers, Nadia Freitas, Antonio Fracari, Jose Lobo. In this superb sequel to At Midnight I’ll Take Your Soul, Coffin Joe is absolved of any crimes by the local courts. But he still seeks the ideal woman to bear his son. He and his hunchback, Bruno (wonderfully played by Lobo) kidnap and experiment on several gorgeous babes. There’s some pretty horrendous stuff involed with all this, though Coffin Joe seems to be enjoying himself in his own twisted way. Things get sticky when he goes after the daughter of a powerful military man, who in turn tries to have Coffin Joe eliminated. A very bizarre film for sure. Subtitled in English. 35mm.
