Horror STRANGE EXPERIENCES/ INSOMNIA

(circa 1958, 1963) Lydia Binaghi, Laurence Gallimard, Gabriel Blonde. Strange Experiences is a rare series of vignettes not unlike "One Step Beyond." Originally used as time slot fillers back in the ‘50s, there are six weird tales. Each episode only a few minutes long and with original commercials. Lots of fun. Insomnia is a superb vampire featurette. A man, suffering from insomnia, reads a vampire story late at night. The film depicts a Dracula-type character threatening a beautiful lady in a creepy castle. This film is scary, moody, and has some moments of genuine humor. A nifty twist ending. We’ve added an old-time drive-in intermission reel between films. Very cool indeed. From 16mm.
