(1947) Sonia Dresdel, Carol Raye, Tom Walls, Patricia Burke. A female composer, unable to finish a composition, falls to her death from the cliffs of Cornwall. Her sister becomes obsessed with her memory. Much later, the unfinished composition is performed on the radio. During the broadcast, a strange woman enters the sister’s home and plays the piece on the piano. The sister suspects the woman may be the reincarnation of her dead sister. Very atmospheric, not unlike one of the Val Lewton classics. Literate and engaging. 35mm.
