Horror MUMMY AND THE CURSE OF THE JACKALS, THE
(1969) John Carradine, Anthony Eisley, Maureen Dawson, Marliza Pons, Robert Alan Browne. If you’re a true bad-film aficionado, you’ll undoubtedly love this late ‘60s piece of horror schlock, which features the fattest mummy ever known to filmdom. Needless to say, the almost non-sensical script features an ancient Egyptian Princess, a murderous mummy, and a meddling Egyptologist who should have left well-enough alone. You’ll have a big smile across your face when you finally get to the scenes where the mummy and a “jackal-man” are ravaging Las Vegas. The music score is awesome and sounds like it was played by a group of Ventures wannabes. Pure insanity and a bona fide grade Z classic. NOTE: Our video master is from an outside source (originally transferred in the ‘80s) and not up to our usual standards. Still very watchable, though. Nice color, 16mm.
