Horror MARK OF THE WITCH

(1970) Robert Elston, Anitra Walsh, Darryl Wells, Marie Santel. The film opens with the execution of a 17th Century witch who curses the family of the man who has persecuted her. Santel, who plays the witch, has a truly chilling persona and countenance. The film then jumps to the future where the spirit of the 300-year-old hag is brought back to life in the body of a gorgeous female coed. She then proceeds to fulfill her ancient curse. In spite of its obvious low budget trappings, Mark of the Witch is really a pretty good little horror film. Good with popcorn or beer.
