(1969) Jack May, Justine Lord, Gilbert Wynne, Terry Scully, Linda Marlowe, Donald Sumpter. A gritty Jack the Ripper style movie. A stern judge becomes the prime suspect in a series of brutal murders that has taken the lives of scores of beautiful women in grisly fashion. It doesn’t help the judge’s cause too much when it’s found out he’s a kinky cross-dresser! This is a fast-paced, very well-done British horror thriller with some very effective camerawork that helps highlight some of the more grisly moments of the film. Nice color, from 16mm.
