(1971) starring Anthony Franciosa, Michele Mercier, and Klaus Kinski. Antonio Margheriti's remake of Castle of Blood. Kinski is gaunt-looking Edgar Allan Poe. Franciosa accepts a wager to spend the night in a haunted castle. There he meets the dead. One of them is a beautiful woman who seduces him on the spot. The original Barbara Steele version of this film is a Euro-horror great, but they did a pretty darn good job on this remake edition, too. Lots of atmosphere and creepiness, along with beautiful colors and images. A great film all the way through. Nice Color, 16mm
