LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (1960, Anamorphic Widescreen, Upgraded 5/29/26) Jonathan Haze, Mel Welles, Jackie Joseph, Dick Miller, Jack Nicholson. Probably the best movie ever made in less than three days. A cult classic about a wimpy nursery worker who breeds a man-eating plant with a huge appetite. “Feed me!” the plant screams whenever it gets hungry. Unfortunately its favorite food is human flesh, so off Haze trots to get food for his carnivorous pet! Haze, Joseph, and Welles all give terrific performances. The bit with the prostitute is priceless. “Beef is better than veal.” Nicholson has a hilarious bit as a masochist in a dentist's office. A Filmgroup production. From 35mm.
