S.O.S. PACIFIC (1959) Eddie Constantine, Richard Attenborough, Eva Bartok, Pier Angeli. Eddie’s BEST film. Eddie’s a tough sailor being flown to the mainland for trial. Also aboard is the snake who turned him in, superbly played by Attenborough. During the flight, a fire on board forces the plane to land on a remote isle nearby a rocky point on which sits (to their horror!) the tell-tale tower of an atom bomb test device. The island will be blown sky high in a few hours. One helluva film! 16mm. ROCKET ATTACK U.S.A. (1960) John McKay, Monica Davis, Phillip St. George, Daniel Kern. A government agent is sent to Moscow to see how far along the reds are with their missile program. Lots of espionage thrills. Not the greatest movie in the world, but how often do you get to see an A-bomb dropped on NYC, which does make for a helluva climax. Transferred from a nice 16mm original print
