WEREWOLF VS. THE VAMPIRE WOMAN (1970) Paul Naschy, Gaby Fuchs, Patty Shepard. An ancient witch is revived. She turns a girl into a vampire who then goes on a terror spree. Enter Paul as the werewolf. Hard to believe some weird-looking dame vampire could take on Paul’s werewolf, but they manage to pull it off. Good battle. Great color, widescreen, 35mm. Plus: CURSE OF THE DEVIL (1973) Paul Naschy, Fabiola Falcon, Vidal Molina, Elsa Zabala. In this, Paul's seventh lycanthropic opus, he's turned into a snarling beast by a group of female devil worshippers who are descendants of an ancient witch who was executed by one of Paul's distant relatives, 400 years earlier. The dead-of-night-deep-in-the-forest climax is pretty cool. Take a close look at the little kid’s hand at the very end of the movie. Rated R for nudity. Color, widescreen, 35mm.
